|During this week's Late Start professional development time, elementary staff members received support from their designated coach from the Southwest Plains Regional Service Center. Topics discussed included how to incorporate writing into science lessons in preparation for the Multidisciplinary Performance Task on the Kansas State Assessment and best communication practices with parents in preparation for the upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences. When the school day began, the coaches went into classrooms and modeled lessons for teachers to observe.|
